Sporadic relief

People in different areas affected by the cloudbursts are getting different kinds of responses from the authorities. Rediff reports that naval rescue teams have moved into "Poisar in Borivali, in north Mumbai, and Air India colony at Santacruz" to evacuiate people trapped by the rains. And "150 flood-affected families" have been "shifted to safer places" in Satara, but as many as 55 villages in that district remain cut off from help. Also, Mid Day reports:
At least 1000 people are still living on the edge of death at Narayan Nagar in Ghatkopar, where the landslide last Tuesday claimed 74 lives.
